Dia de los Coheed!!!

This project was done for University of Wisconsin Milwaukee's Day of the Dead celebration (Dia de los Muertos) it was done using the traditional Mexican art form of papel picado, a form in which many layers of colored tissue paper are stacked on top of each other and then a mallet and chisel are used to pound through all 30 layers creating multiple copies of the image. This picture is based on my favorite band Coheed and Cambria, hence the dragonfly and large portion of the keywork (bands logo)

Sketchbook Assignments

Top: Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambira. Need to get a better scan.

Middle: Will Smith from "Hitch"

Bottom: Thanos from "The Infinity Gauntlet" series.

All are sketchbook assignments done for my drawing class.

Fractured Portrait

This is my second project for my Art 108 class, we had to take two pictures of ourself and put them together/draw the end result. This is what happened. The drawing is 8x10 and done in HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, and 7B pencil on bristol board.

Pan-O-Ramma digital manipulation

So I basically just added some clouds to the background, overlayed red...lens flare, messed with contrast...whatever makes the teacher happy I guess.

Pan-O-Ramma

This is a Pan-o-ramma done for my photo class...we still have to photoshop it but I thought I would upload the original pictures.

Started Painting the Creature

Started painting the mouth, I think that part is done, its acrylic...however the body and the rocks remain...

[insert cool creature name here]

This is a clay sculpture that I am constructing for my ceramics class, it is made entirely out of clay and stands about 6 inches tall. We had to create a creature and this is what I came up with, hope that everybody enjoys.
